EcoFlow PowerOcean Single-phase; EF BD-5.1-S1 battery pack, 2026 datasheet
This page follows the 2026 single-phase PowerOcean document and its named battery pack. Older PowerOcean packs and their warranty documents are not interchangeable.
Research from manufacturer documents, not a hands-on test. Values and missing details are kept separate below.

What matters on your quote
The 2026 sheet lists several inverter ratings, from 3 to 6 kW on-grid. Its backup maximum is separately expressed in VA. Ask for the exact inverter model, backed-up load capability and current warranty for your battery SKU.
- The large expansion headline requires additional hybrid inverters; it is not the usable capacity of the single-pack configuration.
At a glance
| Usable capacity | 4.8 kWh for the single-pack configuration; table also lists larger configurations |
|---|---|
| Continuous / rated power (original units and basis) | 3 to 6 kW rated on-grid AC output, depending on the inverter model; backup maximum is separately given in VA |
| Warranty (years) | 15-year warranty — manufacturer product claim |
| Expandable to | Up to 60 kWh stated capacity with three hybrid inverters; not usable capacity |
| Backup power | Continuous off-grid output advertised; compatible inverter and installation required |
Not in the documents we checked so far: peak power, round-trip efficiency, warranty throughput / cycles, capacity at end of warranty, coupling, UK list price.
Ask the installer before you sign
- Is the usable capacity on the quote the figure above, or a nominal one?
- Can it charge fast enough to fill in your cheap window? Charging power × hours of the window is the most it can take in.
- Is any equipment needed for backup in a power cut included in the price?
- Does it work alongside your current solar inverter, or replace it?
- Which warranty conditions apply in the UK, and what do you have to do to keep them?
Will it pay back for you?
Opens the calculator with this battery’s usable capacity filled in. Add your own installed price and tariff. If the datasheet does not state a round-trip efficiency, use your installer’s figure.
